Work Experience

Undergraduate Student Researcher

BLINC Lab, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
Apr 2025 - Present

My primary project is integrating visual information in the control of a robotic hand, using a camera and machine vision methods. This involved sensor validation, mechanical design, 3D-printing, coding, and electronic system design.

I am also contributing to a study on the impact of sensori-motor training on the control of myoelectric prostheses.

Summer Research Assistant

Department of Petroleum Engineering
Apr 2024 - Aug 2025

I contributed to a research project under the supervision of Vishnu Jayaprakash and Dr. Huazhou Li.

After learning prerequisite thermodynamics theory, I created various machine learning models to proxy critical point calculations for multi-component fluid mixtures. My work culminated in a paper that will soon be published, as well as presentations to my supervisor’s research group.

My experience in this role was fundamental to my curiosity and learning in the field of machine learning.

Design and Production Assistant

Bricksie (YouTube Channel)
Nov 2022 - Aug 2024

I collaborated with a Lego YouTube personality (Bricksie) with over 450,000 subscribers.

I generated numerous original designs and planned many large-scale projects. My creations involved intricate mechanisms, computer-aided design, and precise assembly of components.

This experience was extremely positive, showing me the value in working on something I truly care about with people who are equally passionate.
